Severe Fibromyalgia Pain Relief Diary
Chronic Pain And Strong Pain Relief
When I first started experiencing chronic pain in my shoulders and neck, I tried many different exercises and over-the-counter remedies. I didn’t get much relief until I found Eazol, a natural non-prescription supplement. I have recommended it to friends who also found relief from everyday aches and pains. A story of how I made a deal with my doctor, to give me stronger fibromyalgia pain relief, to ease my suffering. The doctor was concerned that I would become addicted, I was scared to face live without some relief. Visit this page for an all natural solution.
If you live with chronic pain, you don’t need to be told what it is like, to be in constant fear and constant pain, always stressing about when the next flair up will be. I developed a way to get my doctor to trust me enough to give me pain relief that I needed. I’ve been bothered for years with a combination of a back injury that was never treated correctly, Scoliosis, and fibromyliagia, and depression, my pain levels went between constant aching pain, that left me scared to do anything in case I made it worse, to flair-ups where the pain would get sever for no reason at all which would happen about two or three times a week.
I struggled with the doctors, I wanted strong pain relief, and they wouldn’t give we anything in case I got addicted to it. They weren’t even willing to give me medium strength medications, let alone super strong stuff. One day, a couple of day’s before my doctors appointment, I decided to write out a contract that I would run past my doctor, to see what he said. I wrote that I suffered from pain as he knew, and how that pain varied, and how I just wanted fibromyalgia pain relief. How that I understood the doctors dilemma, but would he consider this. Would he give me 3 levels of pain relief, mild, medium strength and morphine.
Enough mild pain relief to last for 3 weeks, enough medium strength so I could use it for about a week over the month, and enough morphine, that I could have 1 day a week where I was pain free. I even worked out the exactly dosages of each. I then went on to say that I understood, that if I used the morphine all at once, I wouldn’t have anymore that month. (I wasn’t getting any at that stage so some was a bonus as a treatment for fibromyalgia pain). I said that I would undertake to use the morphine only when I really needed it.
When you think about it I was asking for one day pain free in seven. That’s not too much to ask. I must say though that when the doctor read my contract I was shocked when he finished reading it, looked at me an nodded. He said he would trial me for one month on my plan. He gave me the exact amounts of the medium and high strength medication and a few more of the low strength than I had asked for. And asked me to keep a diary of when I took what. I was totally amazed, I just couldn’t believe my luck? but I went home with my pain management medications for that month. I wanted to just stuff the morphine down my throat, but by the time I got home, my pain levels weren’t that high, which was really unusual since they always were after an outing. So when I go home, I just took the medium pain relief. I got on the computer, made a simple diary, one week per page, and printed it out.
I started taking note of when I took what medication, exactly how many I took etc. The oddest thing happened within that month, I found my pain was much more manageable than I thought it was. I had always been scared of it before, but now I knew that if I needed it, the strong stuff was there so I started taking more risks.
The risks I’m speaking about, were taking a work around my garden. Walking up the street to a bus stand that was only about two houses away. I would walk there sit down, have a rest, then walk home…. until then, I had only left the house only when I had to go to the doctor once a month, and maybe one other time in the month for a couple of hours.
I also realized that if I took the pain medication regularly, before the pain was bad, the mild pain relief did the job. This may sound basic, but when you live with pain all the time, you do forget to take the medications. Many’s the time, I would be hobbling around in terrific pain, and my partner would ask, have you taken pain killers lately? The reply was just a blank stare, because no, I hadn’t thought to take any. However with my pill diary, I could see when I took the last dose, and when the next one should be due. A once a day medication schedule helps, but not all medicines can be taken this way as treatment for fibromyalgia pain.
My first pain free day, two days after my doctors appointment, was a real buzz, I got up, opened the bottle of morphine, and looked at my precious pills, counted them all, making sure they were all there. And took the first one with a hot coffee. (I had learn ages ago that medication seems to work faster when taken with at least a warm coffee) The morphine took effect, and oh how wonderful it was. No only did my back stop hurting, but the overwhelming feeling of dome I carried around was gone. I got on the phone, and talked to friends I hardly ever called anymore. I stood up and it didn’t hurt, I walked around inside the house I was pain free. While I was waiting for the coffee to brew, I started stacking plates from breakfast. Then I sat and actually relaxed with the freshly brewed coffee…. I hadn’t relaxed for it seemed like years.
With chronic pain, you always seemed to be tense even when the medication has taken the edge off the pain. Go here to find information on a daily pain relief supplement.
So I relaxed, for about 20 minutes. What a wonderful feeling this all was. I stood up, and again it didn’t hurt, and so the day went on. My partner, who was my constant caregiver first hovered around, reminding me not to overdo it, then she relaxed a little too…. it was wonderful. She kept on mentioning how lovely it was to see my smiling, hear me making a joke, even laughing. Talk about fitting your life into one day, I wanted to do everything. I decided to ring the local spa, and ask if i could rent their hot tub room for 30 minutes. The next day, I was surprised, that i didn’t have a pain flair-up, I would have thought that the activity the day before would have ensured I would be in agony. But I wasn’t, just the usual amount of pain. But I was happy, I took the mild pain medications, and started to plan my next pain free day, and get ideas what I might do.
One of my pain free days during that month, didn’t end up happening, I developed flu, and decided that I may as well keep the pain free day until I could enjoy it. Another evening, I was in particularly bad pain, so I used some of my morphine then.
At the end of the month, armed with my weekly calendars, I went back to the doctor, showing him I still had a couple of morphine’s left, and explaining why. The doctor was very impressed, and gave me another supply of all medications. The first appointment with the doctor just happened to be about mid winter, then over the summer, the pain wasn’t as bad, and I often had left over medication over summer. By the following winter, the doctor suggested himself, that he would give me extra morphine for the winter months. He called it my bonus days.
Four years later, I still get my pain free day, medications, which are now limited to 6 days a month. The doctor said not to bother tracking what I took, and when, well not for him to see anyway. But I still do keep a diary, and have found that their are definite patterns in my pain and have learnt to prepare for those days when my pain levels maybe higher. I always look forward to my pain free days, and make the most of them. Sure there are times when I wish I had more stronger medication, but what I get is a heck of a lot better than none at all.

Naltrexone Appears To Relieve Fibromyalgia Pain
