Your Support Network and Your Fibromyalgia – 2 Way Street

Chronic conditions inevitably bring up the issue of how to deal with family and friends. Fibromyalgia is inherently a disease of constant changes and the condition is long-term. The fact that there is no closure ahead can be hard for family members and friends to grapple with. They may get to a point where they are unable to cope with your illness and need respite. Regrettably, there can be no break for you; this can lead to depression, anger or feelings of being overwhelmed over the strain this chronic condition can put on all relationships.

At these times, remind yourself that you do have choices and options. Will you cherish the days they are capable of supporting and being there for you?
